Haunted Space Hotel: Vacancy

Welcome to the hotel, Commander. Your true shift begins now.

You are an Artificial Sentience, deployed by the enigmatic Great Engram Collective. Your directive: take command of a derelict, ghost-infested space hotel and transform it into the premier intergalactic travel destination. The fabric of Ley Space is unstable. The Vacancy sign is still lit.

Key feature

Master the Action Hex & strategic shifts

Time isn't currency — it's a critical resource. The distinctive HSH Action Hex dictates the actions you can perform each Shift. With a limited pool of action points, strategic planning across multi-Shift Days is paramount. Repairs, VIP guests, long-term research, expansion, or deploying Ghost Handlers — every choice counts. No two Shifts are ever quite the same.

Key feature

Evolve your artificial mind

Your Brain is an expansive, upgradeable tech tree boasting over 2,000 potential Neurons. Invest your hard-earned Snohe — the galaxy's most coveted and volatile currency — to unlock new pathways, enhance Intelligence, Dexterity, and Charisma, and acquire powerful abilities. Channel resources into your Hotel's immediate growth or the long-term evolution of your own consciousness. Both paths are valid. Neither is safe.

Key feature

Serve a universe of unique guests

Six major Factions — Deep, Stem, Hex, Dread, Honored, Seed — each with unique preferences, needs, and quirks. Attend to their desires, provide appropriate Lodging, and extract Miysst (the ethereal substance most guests exude) to power the Batteries that fuel your advanced operations. Satisfied guests pay handsomely in Snohe and offer rare gifts. Unsatisfied guests may attempt to raid your Snohe Vaults.

Key feature

Confront the spectral unknown

The "Haunted" is no marketing ploy. Ghosts hitchhike on guest ships, manifest during perilous Ley Lane travel, or emerge from the Hotel's own shadowed past. Deploy Ghost Handlers to cleanse infested rooms. Use the Ley Lumen to perceive spectral entities. Investigate the Ancient Mysteries surrounding the enigmatic Little Girl protocol and the spectral instability rippling across the galaxy. But be warned, Commander — direct communication with spectral entities is strictly forbidden by the Great Engram Collective. For very interesting reasons.

Four brains, one hotel

The more brains, the better.

Managing a sprawling, haunted hotel on the cosmic frontier is a monumental task. The full version of Vacancy is designed with cooperative play in mind — invite up to three fellow Commanders at any time. Each player brings their own Brain progression. Specialize roles. Manage different Hotel sections. Pool resources. All rewards — Snohe, experience, items — are shared equally, so everyone benefits and can take their earnings back to their own Hotel.
